living the dream

I have always been a creative person, but never dreamed that I would turn that passion for creating into a business. After I had a baby, I needed a change. I was tired of the commute through the city and the stress of my job. Between the encouragement of a dear friend who had also started her own successful business, a home jewellery party I attended, and a little bit of luck and a lot of support from my family....I decided to take the leap.

LittleGlamour began in 2009 as a simple desire to stay home with my son and take control of my life and became full-time early in 2012 . My philosophy has been pretty straight forward since the beginning: make simple, beautiful jewellery that can be worn everyday. This shop is a true one-woman show. I go shopping for pretty materials; experiment with designs; transform my components into the finished piece; and take care of the shipping, bookkeeping, office tasks, product photography, social media updates, and more. As often as I can, I take new classes so I can bring you unique pieces...my latest is lost wax casting (so cool!). I love what I do, and I'm so grateful for the support I've gotten. Sometimes it gets a little crazy around my studio, but I wouldn’t give up being my own boss for anything.

Each LittleGlamour piece is uniquely beautiful, and minor variations may occur which is part of the charm of buying handmade! I combine quality components to make simple, beautiful, affordable jewellery. Everything is made by me in my sun-filled studio - perhaps you are looking for a delicate gold necklace, a pair of classic sterling silver earrings, or a gemstone beaded bracelet for a special occasion. Most of my jewellery is made to order....I think there is something incredibly special about having a piece made just for you and in the perfect length :)

In 2013, we left the busy city and moved 2 hours north of Toronto to a small community on the shores of Georgian Bay. My commute is now from the bedroom to my studio (with a view!) down the hall. I spend all day making beautiful jewellery that I sell around the world. I'm home to see my son off to school and I'm home when school is over. Weekend beach barbecues with friends, chilly winter hikes, watching the wildlife in our backyard, and time spent with family are just a few of the things I like to do in cottage country. I am grateful for everything life has brought me, and I continue to be thankful for each and every day. In December 2020, I achieved another milestone - 20,000 sales in my Etsy shop!
